Airfilter metal screen

Good question about the metal airfilter screen. I ALWAYS remove this! If anyone doesn’t think this is a impediment to flow, stand in front of a fan, then place the screen between the fan and your face and tell me what you think.

I have found that the stock filter flows as good as a k+n in most cases on the ZX7 ram air bikes, at least on my DYNO. K+N no longer produces the filter for the 91-92 non ram air bikes, as it did not flow as well as the stock filter. It didn’t take people long to figure that one out and start complaining to K+N, so they just stopped making it, and have no intentions to make anymore for that model.
