Chain size conversion

Chain size conversion

Okay, one more, they list only a 14-16 for the stock 525 chain size and a 17 for a 520 conversion.

I believe it would work, but it as far as I can find on the web, only renthal has a application for the stock 525 chain, and the others have one for a 520 chain. Which chain do you have?

Usually racers convert over to a 520 for less drag. However on my dyno, Ive found only 1 to 1 1/2 hp increase. Not enough in my opinion to give up a big decrease in chain strength for a street bike especially a built one. Those 17 sprockets are generally used at Daytona, which on race bikes would explain why most manufacturers are only making it in a 520 size.
